Many environmental metrics are captured within these certifications. It is possible for an organization that uses certifications as its metric to actually drill down to find data for other environmental metrics as well - such as water use, energy use, land use, etc. For example, Rainforest Alliance can provide specific reports based on the enterprises it certifies.
A certification metric should be inserted in the operations section of the framework that indicates the more general certifications and/or memberships to socially/environmentally responsible associations that an organization maintains.
